You’ve seen this scene a thousand times before and maybe you’ve taken part in it: You’re at Walmart, Target, or some other department store and there’s some kid spread eagle in the floor kicking and screaming like someone just shot them with a gun.
You turn to the mother who’s obviously embarrassed to hear her say,”alright little Johnny if you don’t straighten up then I’m going to give you a spanking.”
The child hears this but it still doesn’t stop him or her from going into a full conniption complete with rolling on the floor and snot shooting from their nose.
I’ve had my fair share of witnessing these “fits” on more than one occasion and in the past would chalk it up to either bad parenting or someone just not being able to control their kids.
That was then this is now.
There’s another side to this story it involves the cause but in all actuality we only get to see the effect.
What if I told you the mother/father fed their kid peas or a drink would food dyes in it… would you believe it was the direct cause of the conniption?
Maybe you will after you read this.
Food allergies in children is real stuff…trust me!
Chemical Sh*t Storms
In recent years, scientists have introduced tons of chemicals into the environment without knowing the effects these chemicals will have.
They use chemicals to make food last longer, taste better, and look more appealing to the eye.
In some cases, they use these same chemicals to make (and have been pretty good at it) to make food more addictive.
I’ll never forget the shock and awe I felt while watching a documentary called the “Disappearing Male” where they showed alligators in florida with both sex organs as a result of the dumping of chemicals into lakes.
The documentary also hypothesized the male species was vanishing as a result of being bombarded with estrogen mimicking chemicals in our world.
Estrogen mimicking chemicals aren’t the only chemicals threatening our existence there are thousands more of them.
More are being invented every day.
Cursed Kids
Its cool being a kid these days. The days of Atari and Intellivision are gone and the PS3 and XBox have taken over for good.
Everything is more advanced including the chemicals in our food supply.
Have you noticed the foods with the most chemicals in them are marketed to kids?
Take a look at the juices, cereals, and candies.
Most, if not all, of them are filled with artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives and who knows what else.
The trouble with this is a child’s immune system is more susceptible and more vulnerable to these pseudo chemicals.
As we move through generations, the accumulation of chemicals are being seen in our children .
Autism, ADHD, are running a muck whereas they use to be rare in occurrence.
Children have now become an overly medicated and under equipped segment of the population caught in the crossfire of science and civilization.
Few people know or care how chemicals and foods can alter a child’s behavior.
The Rapp on Child Behavior
On Perfectly Healthy And Toned Radio, I invited Dr. Dorothy Rapp to speak about her experience as an pediatric allergist .
Dr. Rapp is a true pioneer in her field. I was lucky to catch one of her old appearances on the Phil Donahue show.
On the show, she discussed and showed in great detail how allergens like mold, milk, and even fluoride can instantly make children highly agitated or extremely depressed.
There was even a case where peas (yes peas) made a young girl extremely giggly.
Who knew peas could do this?
If peas could do this, what other foods are children eating every day which could have more detrimental effects than just giggling?
It might be safe to say the behavior problems we see in kids today could be directly contributed to environmental allergies and food intolerance.
So, the next time you see a child falling out and having a complete “fit “in the store or movies it may not have anything to do with being sleepy and everything to do with what they ate minutes or hours before you saw them.
