“The brain is really one of the greatest remaining scientific frontiers.”
– Stephan Guyenet
There is so much we don’t know about the brain and yet, there is so much we do know about it.
Stephan Guyenet author of the book,”The Hungry Brain” recently visited Perfectly Healthy And Toned Radio.
Stephan spoke candidly about the brain and its role in obesity.
Did you know your brain is hardwired to seek out foods containing fat, sugar and starch?
Once you seek out these foods and eat them your brain “logs them through dopamine.
This is why most people have cravings and why sheer willpower does nothing for you when you’re looking to shed weight.
This is also why the calories in, calories out theory of weight loss is so ineffective and why you need to factor in the brain for maximum fat loss.
Give this one a listen…guarantee it will change your mind about your brain and its importance in dropping unwanted pounds.

Inside The Episode
I wasn’t exactly sure how this episode would go.
I’m not talking from a negative perspective but as you listen to the podcast you’’ll hear me tell Stephan his book was very thorough.
I can appreciate a well-researched book but if the interview is too scientific you tend to lose the audience.
Stephan did a great job of explaining everything in layman’s terms so everyone can indulge in the intricacies of the brain.
