Would you give yourself permission to think outside of prescriptions?
I know…sounds like a crazy question, doesn’t it?
It wouldn’t be half as crazy if it wasn’t true.
The further I venture down the rabbit hole of holistic health and wellness, the more I realize the masses have chosen to swallow the blue pill (unlike Neo in “The Matrix”) and remain complacent.
Now more than ever, there is a free flow of information which allows us to find the truth if we desire it.
This is why I have to be tight lipped whenever people still think saturated fats cause heart disease, cancer just happens, and low cholesterol is good.
I’ve come to realize everyone hasn’t made the choice to swallow the red pill and stay in Wonderland like Neo.
I did!
The day after Thanksgiving in 2005, life as I knew it changed forever.
My mother was in the hospital from complications due to breast cancer and I had flown home to be with her.
I had no idea she was going to die…I thought she’d get better and eventually leave the hospital.
Well, that never happened.
As my sister and I left the hospital to take a much needed break, we pulled into my mother’s carport and my cellphone rang.
My aunt informed us my mom had passed.
My heart fell to my ankles… how was I to function when the only person who loved me unconditionally was gone?
My moment of truth was staring me in the face and it was in that moment, I Decided To Swallow The Red Pill.
I know I’m not the only one who did this as Dani Walker, a recent guest on the PhatMan Radio Show, can attest.
In June of 2004, Dani’s husband was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease known as Sarcoidosis.
He was told there was no cure and it could be fatal.
In fact, this very disease claimed the life of comedian Bernie Mack and ex- Green Bay Packer Reggie White.
Dani’s husband took the diagnosis in stride and began treatment.
He was placed on 6 different prescriptions and doctors wanted to add a 7th.
One of the medications called Prednisone carries with it a trailer full of side effects.
One of those side effects happened to be weight gain .
Dani’s husband gained 60+ pounds while on Prednisone.
He decided enough was enough and it was time for a change.
Dani the Detective
Dani’s husband was in a helpless and hopeless position.
Should he keep relying on a medication which obviously made him sicker or take his health in his own hands?
In the midst of it all, Dani researched everything she could on Sarcoidosis to help her husband.
She poured through medical journals and endless PubMed articles.
She began to piece together what worked and what didn’t work.
There was a whole lot of what didn’t work but she adopted what she calls the TEA (Try Everything And Anything) until she found some things that did work.
When she found the things that worked, she was able to implement them and her husband’s condition went into remission.
That’s right! No drugs or surgeries involved.
Do The Dani
Could you do the Dani? 🙂
I mean, could you be persistent enough to think beyond prescriptions and surgery?
Most people accept a doctor’s diagnosis.
In essence, they become their ailment.
You aren’t your disease and your disease isn’t you.
It’s something you have and serves as a wake up call to get crackin’ and start working.
Humans are amazing…we have the ability to heal ourselves but sometimes our minds play tricks on us.
Do you agree?
We’re quick to give away our power because when it comes to life and death or sickness and health, we are “ye of little faith.”
The last prescription you’ll ever need is the red or blue pill.
You can choose to question conventional wisdom and take the red pill or choke down the blue one and remain in the Matrix.
Just remember: If you take the red pill, your life changes forever just like Dani and I.
Life is about choices, what will you choose?
I encourage you to listen to this call in it’s entirety. There are “gems” for you to discover! 🙂
Peace and Love Ya’ll!
